Celebrated Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale says he’s still in awe of the overwhelming crowd that filled Independence Square on Saturday, October 18, for the ShattaFeast concert held in honor of his 40th birthday.
Known for his unmatched ability to draw large audiences, Shatta Wale’s performance may have further solidified his reputation as the “king of the streets,” a title proudly echoed by his loyal SM fanbase.
During a courtesy visit to Mobile Money Limited (MTN Ghana) on Monday, October 20, the musician expressed deep gratitude for the company’s partnership and support. “It’s always been my dream to work with your brand, and I’m thrilled you came on board,” he said.
Despite being aware of his massive following, Shatta Wale admitted he was stunned by the turnout. “I’m still shocked at the crowd. You may think I have the numbers, but I believe God is bringing us together to inspire the youth,” he shared, reaffirming his commitment to future collaborations.
Shaibu Haruna, CEO of Mobile Money Ghana, also praised Shatta Wale’s influence, noting, “I knew you had a strong following, but this weekend was something else.” He commended the artist for motivating young people and breaking new ground in Ghana’s music industry.
ShattaFeast has now earned its place among the most attended outdoor concerts in recent Ghanaian history.
